Logging what I've done so far.

The past few days have gone by in a whirlwind. I sort of remember everything in the back of my mind, but that's it. They're just buried there, and I only remember them when they're mentioned again. And these are the days that'll be gone soon, the days that I want to feel nostalgic about when I go back to school as an ex-Rafflesian and give a talk as CEO of Microsoft.

Since my blog was meant to be a log of what has happened in my life, I will log down what I've been doing over the past few weeks, this horrendously boring June that was supposed to be the best part of the year apart from the end-of-year periods.

I have about no recollection of what I did in the first week. If I remember right, I wasted it away stoning at home, watching movies, and the like. All I remember is I had my one and only day of work, and then I went over to Ruijie's house on the Tuesday/Thursday(can't remember which) of that week. (By the way, Ruijie is suffering from low blog hits! View his blog here.) The rest was wasted away. I barely started on work.

The second week was better, albeit slightly. Class gathering on Monday was good fun. Mahjong, Halo 2 on Xbox, Halo 3 on Xbox 360, Super Smash Bros and WiiSports on Nitendo Wii and Singapore vs Uzbekistan at home. Me, Shao Chun and Teo Hong came up with a way to ask each other for specific tiles in a game of Mahjong, turning the odds against the only other player. It didn't work. Thanks to Jingxian for allowing us to wreck his house and letting us stay till late.

I had a primary school class reunion, sort of. Except that this one only involved the guys from my class in primary school. That makes ten guys, out of the class of forty one. This reunion was meant to be a "goodbye" thing for one of my ex-classmates who's leaving for China in two months. We headed down to Orchard Cineleisure and rented one of the E2max chambers for two hours, having a computer game party. Typical geek fun. But I like that.

Friday was supposed to be a meeting to prepare the more detailed procedure for our Service Learning Research Education lessons, in which we're giving lessons for primary school students and trying to get them to learn through music. The meeting ended up as a DD Crew+1 gathering. (DD Crew+1 means me, Jason, Lennie, Daniel, Yisin) Minimal work, more Xbox 360. But I like that.

Yesterday Jason treated a bunch of people to teppanyaki buffet. Superb.

And, I've been swimming every Saturday now. Trying to straighten out my problems with the Butterfly stroke and attempting one lap with it. Butterfly really does wonders for your physique.

I know you must enjoy reading about my life when you've read till here!
I am currently listening to a live broadcast of Game 2 of the NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.

Listening.

Being the poor man that I am who cannot afford cable television, I have to listen to the match to be updated on the game. Definitely beats going online and checking the results and Top 5 Plays after the match, of course.

And currently, the Lakers are down by 15. If you ask me, IMHO, this game is good as gone. Not that I'm anti-Celtics. I'm just pro-Lakers. MVP ftw please.

Baby(Google) come back!

My Internet browsing process has been a nightmare recently. I don't know what is coming over this computer, but one day Internet Explorer suddenly just baulks on me and stops working properly. I can't Google with Internet Explorer, can't use Yahoo, AOL, MSN, or any search engine. Imagine that! Life without search engines! I only just realised the key role of these entities in my life. It's not only that I can't Google, but no other search engine lets me through. Everytime I type something in the form, the results never load.

And what's life like without them?

Let me demonstrate. First, after watching exquisitely beautiful Odette Yustman on Cloverfield just a few weeks ago, I wanted to see her biography, and filmography, and stuff. So I head on down to Google, and key in the search term "Odette Yustman". Nothing shows up, just a blank screen that fails to load even after about 5 minutes. And then I, trying to find a way around this, go to all the other major search engines on the web that I know of and attempt the search, but to no avail.

This meant I had to fall back on sites I already knew of, most of which were very generic sites like Imdb.com and the all-powerful-but-boring-and-with-few-pictures Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not suited for a task like this because there are annoyingly few pictures and when I search for a beautiful actress, I don't want to just see words and data.

See the reliance on even a sub-category of the World Wide Web? It's not enough if I have the Internet, with its billions of websites and infinite information. So what if there's Web 2.0? I need a search engine. Need with the capital N.

Technology is taking over the world.

Maybe it's Skynet. Forgive me for saying that, but I just finished watching Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles over the past three days. And even I, being the noncomittal, occasional sci-fi type of guy, was hooked to the series. You have to watch it to know what I'm talking about, but the concept of the time travelling is too cool, and the way time travel interlinks the characters fates is awesome to ponder(for geek me). Summer Glau does a perfect, deadpan job as the robot from the future, and is good eyecandy even though I wouldn't call her pretty.

Go Google her if you want. In my opinion, TSCC is an awesome geek show, and a rather good sci-fi series. And if you've kept up with the Terminator series(even though the first movie was way back in 1984), it's the show for you.

Oh, I can't get pictures of Summer Glau now because I lack a search engine.

hol-lee-day!

I haven't posted in a while even though I haven't had much to do since I recovered from my illness a few days ago.

So I made a full recovery by Saturday, and then went to work on Sunday with Vince. Work was pretty horrid. It was Munchy Cafe at Singapore Expo. And I realised that it is super stressful to work in the food industry because you must be really clean and then still have to serve customers and wash plates and clear tables. I think I'd prefer my previous holiday job, but I don't have enough time this holiday to make a significant amount of money working as a retail assistant.

Work seems to have stopped though, after I went home on Sunday. The cafe was open for the show Dora the Explorer, but supposedly that show has had a very bad reception. So they're not opening for the whole of this week. Until Saturday, maybe. Which will be the last day of the show anyway. This means that I take home one day of pay, assuming I don't get to work on Saturday. Understandably, not a lot of money.

My hair still hasn't grown back. I got it trimmed so that I would look neater, but now it just stands up near the edges and I look like a goofball. The previous cut was macho at least. All I need now is for it to grow longer. Hopefully, it'll be back to normal by the end of the holidays.

Rui Jie is reawakened! Visit him at www.whattalkingyou.com! I went to his house and watched Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle yesterday. It was stupendously hilarious. I need to watch Guantanomo Bay NAO.

Should have ate an apple yesterday to keep the doctor away.

I woke up at 4am this morning with a horrible pain in my fourth toe on my left foot. Since I had already resolved not to go to school the next day anyway, because life had been tough for me juggling listening in lessons with rushing to the toilet for the past two days, I thought nothing was wrong and it was probably me not lying in a proper sleeping position.

I woke up at 8am to find that now the third toe had also been afflicted and it was in similar/worse pain. Which means that both toes hurt, were red and tender and swollen. Absolutely intolerable. I read about the symptoms on the net, and to my shock it sounded just like symptoms of gout, which is more commonly found in men aged 40 and above. (Gout is a type of arthritis caused by the formation of uric acid crystals at joint areas due to high uric acid levels in the blood. It usually forms near at the toe joints where there is less blood circulation. The crystals then inflame surrounding tissue and cause the area to swell, become tender and become sensitive.)

The bright side was that after taking just one dose of loperamide yesterday, the stomach churning and the diarrhea seems to have stopped. Still, I didn't want to take any risks with my toe because it was still hurting pretty bad, and I went to see the doctor. This time I went to the polyclinic since I'm not going to school, and I would have time to wait.

Reached the polyclinic at 1115 in the morning, and collected my medicines from the pharmacy at 1400. By the time I went in for consultation, my toes no longer hurt, and I had half a mind to just go home. Playing my PSP on the uncomfortable clinic chairs for two hours made my neck ache, and there was no air-conditioning in the clinic. Polyclinic charged about 5 dollars, the private clinic would have charged 25 dollars for about 20 minutes wait. I wonder.

But, I feel better now and I'll be back in school tomorrow (if nothing goes wrong)!

We got balls.

I just read about how Dawn Yang earns $5000 to $6000 a month blogging.

Blogging alone!

I need to earn some money this June. Anyone want tuition? Please? Let me give you tuition? (Maybe if you're in primary school or about there)

There was House Meeting 2 today, and me, being the Buckley Aesthetics Captain, had to step forward to publicise about Dramafeste in July. And Aaron(the House Captain) asks, "Who is interested in taking part? Stand up now." Then Zachary Teo, the Secondary Three Raffles Player just stands up (this was all premediated) and I say, "You got balls!" into the microphone (this was a spur-of-the-moment thing), which I don't think was very appropriate. As in, there were teachers.

So I just displayed my crudeness and lack of social etiquette (and self-control) in front of 300-odd people who did not pon assembly.

Oh, and. I vomited violently and had liquid faeces before coming to school this morning. So I was feeling queasy the whole of today and my digestive system has never been in such a state. I was not emo or exhausted or anything, just wasn't feeling well. If you noticed, thanks for your concern! Although it's good if you didn't notice, it means I've been covering it pretty well.

Swim, swam, swum

In a desperate attempt to keep fit after my (horribly) dismal 2.4 km run timing, I headed for the pool on Saturday afternoon.

And it was pretty fine, I must say. I haven't swum in ages and I swam 30 laps of breastroke at a leisurely pace. Without exerting myself. Of course, that's the easy part. I still can barely do 2 laps of freestyle and 1 lap of butterfly, which is utterly demoralising and it demolishes your ego in an instant if you swim halfway through a lap and have to stop in the middle for air. I also attempted to swim the breadth of the pool on the bottom without coming up for air. So I swam halfway and then when I ran out of air, reflex made me gulp down a large mouthful of chlorinated water. I went up immediately and coughed very loudly, attracting the attention of just about everyone in the vicinity.

Apart from such silly misadventures, I've been down to Sim Lim trying to look for a new computer that won't give me headaches and create additional stress. And let me play up-to-date games(my current computer has the specifications of a 2003 PC).

And I finished watching Cloverfield on my PSP this morning after waking up at 0430 and being unable to get back to sleep. Having it on your PSP is cool because you can turn your PSP around to the way the camera moves, and you won't get dizzy so easily. Odette Yustman is like Megan Fox, but prettier. Wow.

And the Boston Celtics are into the Conference Finals! Go home, Lebron!

I've been turned daft.

I went to Matthew's blog, wanted to post a comment, and leave my link with my name. And then I realised I'd already forgotten my blog URL.

What just two weeks can do to you. I'm completely muddle-headed now after sleeping past 12 every single night for a week. In case you don't know, I'm a total pig. I neeed sleep. 7 to 8 hours a day so that I can live to a ripe old age(108- so I can live to see the year 2100). And my bedtime is usually 2230. So the lack of sleep has forced me into taking one lesson a day as my new nap time.

On a sidenote, my PSP was fixed yesterday! I paid 10 dollars for a simple process that I could probably have done myself in 15 minutes! I feel euphoric! I feel daft!

Put me to sleep nowwwwwww.

To Hell and back

It's been 17 days since I last posted. That's two weeks and three days! In case you all don't know though, it's been double Hell Week for RI boys for the past two weeks, and today, being Friday, marks the end of my Hell Weeks.

I only have my chemistry OBA, history assignment and book club synthesis due next week. Which is actually pretty bad for a normal school week, but after you pull through Hell Week(s), this is frog's legs. Coincidentally, we have a long weekend! I'll be slowly cutting the flow of glucose to my brain cells by producing massive amounts of insulin in a localised area so that I can fully turn off by the start of the June holidays, which is just one more week.

Everyone is going about raving about how their June holidays are going to be so packed that they won't have time to do anything and how their June holidays aren't very much like a holiday at all. Well, I think I'm going to be pretty free during the June holidays. So free, in fact, that I'll actually have some time to read the Chinese novel(the Chinese department makes us buy one annually) and learn how to write a proper Chinese essay in preparation for the O Level Prelims. Which is good!

And I was walking home from the bus stop after school today in a narrow back alley, and I was just listening to music with earphones, and minding my own business. Suddenly something so damn loud just rings through the air and even with my music turned on, my adrenal gland almost exploded. So I turn around in shock and look at the source of the noise. And it was a big, black, scary German Shepard that looked like it was out of I Am Legend, and was chasing after me with the horsepower of a Maserati. So I ran and fumbled with my gate lock and got into my house milliseconds before the dog got to me.

Actually, the dog was a small white Schnauzer. And it was behind a gate. So the above is all made up. Except the adrenal gland thing, because it really did bark very loudly.

Sorry, I couldn't think of much to talk about so I decided to bull my way a little.

Today the DD Crew went over to Club Rainbow to meet our VWO for RESL (lots of abbreviations). We're holding some lessons for kids aged 5 to 9, using music to allow them to learn stuff such as the times table and sentence structure better. So we managed to borrow a few primary school English workbooks back to refer to and create a sort of outline.

And I look through the book's content page and am dumbfounded. What exactly are:
  • Demonstrative pronouns
  • Possesive adjectives
  • Possesive pronouns
  • Reciprocal pronouns
  • Interrogative pronouns
  • Modals
  • Prepositions
  • Determiners
  • Present perfect tense
  • Future perfect tense
  • ...

Mmhmm. I know how to speak and write English but I don't know what all those mean. Interesting eh? And it's all from a Primary 3 workbook. If you know, don't flame me for being stupid. As in, I can infer some meanings from the adjectives used above but I just don't remember ever learning stuff like that in primary school.

Okay anyway, I am really very very happy that the stress has gone down. On another note, though, I think my hair is growing ever so slowly; it still looks like a crew cut and there's only one week left to June holidays. This just mean that when I'm out during the June holidays people will look at me and think I'm an NSman.

Which might be good! I might be able to go watch Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanomo Bay! Hurrah.

Back from my (temporary) hibernation.

I started this post four days ago, the photos didn't want to upload, so I'm back again, hoping that the photos will work. Whether they do or not, I'm going to post anyway.

On Guanwei's blog the faces of the couple are censored. I didn't censor them because I am too lazy, and everyone knows anyway. That was April 18th, at RGS Masquerade. (Yes the photos upload!)

So that was before I went botak. Many people have been telling me that I'm not exactly botak- I just got a crew cut. Agreed. Still, I miss my hair. And Guanwei, Boontiong, Teohong, Yi Fan and Bing Yang have all joined the cult of Having-No-Hair. (I must have started this buzzcut cult, thank you!) And yet by now, my hair has grown back to almost a third it's original length, and I'm going to have to cut it in about two weeks time if I don't want it popping out like an Afro. A straight-haired one.

After a bunch of us went botak (the first batch), we weren't going to just let our hair grow back and forget ourselves ever looking like NSmen-looking chaps, right?

Tadah! This was meant for us to look like jailbirds. We wanted to make cards with our names to hold up, which would be pretty cool, but heck, we couldn't be bothered much. I think my head looks several times smaller with so little hair.

A happy one! :D

Hellyeah.

That was some time ago, back when I just got my haircut. That week, it was just rehearsals and school, and both again the next day. I spent more time out than my sleeping hours at home, which I believe is the case for anyone with a major commitment.

But Friday was the first show (25th April) and I must say it went pretty smoothly. A few hiccups, but if not an alright show. Saturday matinee went well and we(the cast) sort of learnt to warm up to the audience when they warm up to us. And then there was Saturday night show, which was super awesome. Like, after it was over, half the audience gave us a standing ovation(albeit many of them from 4K but stilllllll) and we had the loudest laughter of all the three shows. It felt superb after the whole thing was over and then there're no more rehearsals and 9 'o clock nights in school for some time to come!

Thanks to the 4F guys Jing Xian, Lincoln, Clarence, Bing Yang, Ryan, Kelvin, Yi Fan, Guan Wei, Daniel, Hao Qin, Chee Yeow and whoever else(I'm not sure if that's all). And Jason, Gerald, Sng Yi and Si Yuan. Who all came for the Saturday matinee. And Mr Chang haha! And Brandon, Miin, Naman and Jonathan who came for Saturday night.

This is like the only photo I took, with Miin and Brandon.

Myself, happy!

After that and all the packing up and bumping out I went to the Clarke Quay area to meet Miin and Brandon. Which was so retarded, because we ate nothing and just took a Big Walk in the humid night weather and wasted time.

Alright, so that was over and I am all the free-er to study for and do all my assignments which are due over the next two weeks.

Sunday was spent cramming for chemistry test on Monday. The whole Sunday. Somewhat.

Then monday was NAPFA test. I kept my consistent 25 points for five stations, just the same as the last two years. Which I wasn't exactly expecting because this is my first year doing pullups. But never mind, I just need a B for 2.4km run to maintain my 29 points(also the same as the last two years), or a C for a Gold! Easy. (:

Today being a Friday, and just after Labour Day, and a very very slack, turn-off day, I had a very turn-off day in school. And there was RJC Chinese Drama performance in the evening, with a guest performance by the RI Chinese Drama Circle. Before all that, school ended at 1245. Guess what I did in between!

I watched Iron Man today, hooray. And like, the show is awesome. I think it's of the same standard as Transformers last year, or slightly better. It has a deeper plot, and very cool science stuff. You might choose to evaluate my viewpoint as slightly biased, because I am a geek sort of guy, but I must point out that I've never been much of an Iron Man fan in the past(apart from the occasional The Avengers comics, left) and yet I am saying this. Iron Man is a must-watch for any blockbuster junkie, or sci-fi lovers. (Strictly from my POV only.)

Then the Chinese Drama wasn't too bad. In the beginning it was really boring, and I think I might have slept if not for having Shao Chun beside me who would come up with the occasional wisecrack. Then the second half came and everyone became wide awake. The play in the second half is literally translated (by Shao Chun) as Forbidden Love. Guess what? It's gay love. There's this guy who can't understand his feelings for his friend and he thinks he loves that friend. When it's put in Chinese it sounds better, okay. Then Shao Chun and Guan Wei got all horny and started talking about all the sick stuff(NOT gay stuff). I think Shao Chun gets EXTRA horny when it's dark or at night.

But the whole thing was pretty alright I guess. Not exactly worth 10 dollars, I think I'd pay 5. Which is a pass after all.

Sorry about the long, long break I just took. Commitments, commitments and commitments. I still have two tests the next week and a whole load of work to hand up. Which means my blog hits drop like crazy. You know, when I don't blog for a couple of days, the hits dwindle and dwindle then once I post, they shoot up after a day's delay.

See you back in a few days, though!

An exciting week in boring brief.

Sorry about my nine day nap!

I've been very busy for the past few days, coping with Math CCT and Social Studies CCT and whatever bullshit that has been thrown at me so far.

Funny thing my math teacher Ms Yew said about our math syllabus, with regard to the difficulty of the test papers.
"Actually, you boys are so pampered that you think your questions are very difficult, but when you go out, you can see that a lot of other schools, even government schools, have much harder test papers!"

Funny thing Jing Xian replied.
"Then we come here for what?"

Haha okay it was funny in math lesson and in that context, but I don't know if you will find it so.

Alright but anyway the past week sped past in a blur. Last week was ORA Day. The most boring ever, I swear. What a waste of my time, and not worth elaborating upon. (Just that we played basketball with some RGS PE teachers and some RI old boys and I scored an awesome seven out of ten three pointers. Hurray.)

On the weekdays I either studied, slept, had rehearsal or went to watch rugby(on Monday). Friday we had NAPFA trials! I am so pleased that I'm going to get to keep my Gold. I just hope I don't get stitches running the 2.4 kilometres. I think as long as that doesn't happen, life should be good and I should be able to get somewhere around 28 points, out of the 30, which is pretty good considering I haven't been training because of rehearsals and all.

Anyway I was looking forward pretty much to this weekend because Friday night I could finally get out for RGS Rhythmic Gymnastics Concert(Masquerade) and Saturday morning(this morning) I went to "extra" around at SCGS carnival in the morning with Boon Tiong and badminton friends and Yisin.

But that was it. Saturday afternoon it was back to rehearsal. I got home just two hours ago, in fact, from rehearsal.

Friday night is going to be one of the nights that will be quite hard to forget. A bunch of us guys from 4F and Yuda threw a surprise birthday party for Claire who was actually performing for Masquerade on her birthday. And the funny thing is that only me and Yuda and Zebedee actually know Claire beforehand. And then there was some elaborate plan and all on how to surprise her and blah blah. Pretty cool. Have to get the pictures soon though.

I'm going botak tomorrow!

If Guan Wei doesn't pangseh, we both will be durian-heads tomorrow and by Tuesday, me, Guan Wei, Boon Tiong, and Teo Hong will all be durian-heads. We will all have joined Chen Shaowei in his Happy Land of Pen Spinning and Having No Hair.

Friday, April 11, 2008

Boring photos are better than boring text.

Seems like I can't go for rugby match support anymore because I'll have rehearsal. I think. And Mr Eng had to say today that CCA groups training for competition and performances do not need to go down for match support. So there goes my chances.

Sorry Jason and Shao Chun, can't bring posters already.

Anyway last few days were pretty cool!

I found this cool vandalised poster on the notice board of the school library. Amusing.

In the physics lab, Teo Hong and Nikhil were playing with the meter rule. And then they stuck it in their stomachs and tried to coordinate their breathing. Teo Hong calls it "racial harmony".
And our campus is super romantic at night. I found a few boarder couples doing *ahem* stuff in some of the little dark corners of the school. Won't say where, though.

Yisin's place. The white little CD-player is actually a personal computer. And the 42' plasma TV is the monitor. And this is in Yisin's room. In front of his bed. Damn you Yisin.

Today it stormed, and the place near RJC's bus stop became some sort of wetland. I don't take geography, so pardon me if it's wrong, but, I think this warrants some complaint. To, err, whatever ministry. And there were small tadpoles in the water! Kidding.

Sorry for the super boring post. (I should put this at the end of every blog post though hahaha)

Long time no see!

Hey fellas!

Sorry about the three-day delay. It just happened that the past two days I just couldn't really be bothered to blog or whatever. There were too many things going on, and everytime I came home, I just felt like sleeping (or playing Crisis Core). Goodbye to me, hello to dwindling blog hits.

Anyway, let's see what has been going on in my very interesting life.

Thursday, I survived physics quiz. Then I went to swim for swimming carnival, in the 200m breaststroke event. For the unintiated, the 200m is a pretty long event. Although you might say it's only four laps, when you're a lousy swimmer who can't swim really fast and you're trying very hard to speed through those four laps, those four laps suddenly become very, very, very long.

When I recovered from the lack of blood going to my head after I got out of the pool, I waited for the blood to go back into my legs. I tell you, I never felt this tired in my life. Go ahead and laugh at me. Hahaha.

Friday there was Raffles Players rehearsal after school again. It ended early at 630.

Saturday there was Raffles Players rehearsal at 230. Went to catch Pinnochio's Complex at night, at the National Library. Sorry but it made me go "Whaddafuck?" at the end. Sorry.

Today I headed to Daniel's place(I think I've been there thirty-plus times) to do our damn Chinese project due in three weeks. We settled on a topic, and so we're doing a CHINESE "biography" thingie on a SLOVAKIAN tennis player called Daniela Hantuchova.

She's damn hot. And she kind of looks like Emma Watson in this picture. See, Chinese can be fun!

Edit: Removed the picture because I'm getting like, hundreds of hits from people searching her name on Google. So don't want to make them come to my blog for one silly picture. See, my sacrifice for the good of people from France, United Kingdom, United States, Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, and 26 other countries.

Time to stop walking and start running.

What I need to do for tonight and Learning Journey Day tomorrow:
  • Physics Worksheet
  • Study for Physics test on Thursday (for your information, I don't have the very SLIGHTEST clue about what is going on for physics right now and a month ago.)
  • Start studying for Mathematics Class Common Test on the 14th April
  • Memorise my script for English speech by Thursday
  • Start doing my Chinese 专题作业 which is due 28th April

It doesn't seem that bad right now but I can guarantee it will. Anyway, you should not be bothered with my stupid academic pursuits.

The whole of April is going to be pretty packed as well.

  • 11th April Inter-House Science Challenge
  • 12th April ORA Walk-a-Jogathon
  • 14th April Rugby Finals (hopefully!)
  • 19th April SCGS carnival
  • 18th/19th April RGS Rhythmic Gymnastics Concert
  • 25th/26th April Raffles Players Production
  • 25th April House/Swimming Carnival

I cannot go for all. I might go for some. Add to that Raffles Players practices every Saturday afternoon till night and on normal CCA days and other miscellaneous stuff like project meetings, basically my youth is gone. When I get out of April, I'll be going to dye my hair back to it's original shade of black. Because I know by then it's going to be white.

Wait! I won't have much hair then. (refer to previous article)

AND AND AND.

For all you PSP modders and addicts, help me out! I upgraded to 3.90 M33 yesterday and my XMB music player and picture viewer is gone! And I used someone else's memory stick with files in them and they couldnt be detected either. My PSP is a PSP-FAT. Also after moving to 3.90, CXMB finally works but when it is enabled, my games hang when they start. To solve all the above problems, I reformatted my memory stick with the 3.90 firmware, and put in more files. The music and pictures still would not be detected.

My PSP is **ckedddddddddddddddddd la why me why me!

AND AND AND.

Today interclass soccer wasn't bad! We beat 4M two-nil. Class with the awesome Alimi, super Said, nasty Nicholas, and sneaky Shannon. And whoever else la. Only Nicholas played. So yeah we won. And me, Elias the Lobster(couldn't think of anything else that starts with E and fits me.) had a grand total of one save! And it is his first save throughout the season! And he has played three matches! And he has conceded no goals!

This goes to show that, the 4F soccer team has been defending very well. They have no need for a goalkeeper like me. I will step down and let Nikhil the Srinivas play the rest of the matches once he stops running off for his cricket training.

(That above portion had nothing to do with my ego! Honest. After all, it was only one save.)

Back to school.

Second time I'm talking about going back to school in two weeks.

But now, we really start school for real, and it only gets tougher from here on. Today was crazy. And I am not going to tell you why it was crazy, because I do not want to wallow in self-pity.

Oh and I think chem lessons with Mrs Kua are really good. She's an awesome teacher. I was holding my piss till the end of the lesson so I wouldn't miss anything, and when the lesson was finally over, I ran to the toilet and took 95748466 minutes to relieve myself. See what I sacrifice for good grades!

By the way, I have some shocking news for you.
If I've been talking to you pretty much recently, or if you're a good friend, or if you're part of the thing itself, you should already know.

If not, I will tell you now.

I AM GOING TO BE BALD IN 3 WEEKS.
AGHHHH.

):

Raffles Players is doing Army Daze and I'm acting as one of the recruits. So obviously it would be necessary for me to shave.

People who think I look old are gonna really think I look like an army boy. And I bet I'll look like a monkey with a crew cut. Skinny people all look like monkeys when they've got no hair to add volume to their heads. (eg Lennie in secondary 2)

If you hate me, go ahead and gloat. ):

E-learning, Final Fantasy and Flies

I finally found the time to blog.
Not that I've finished my E-learning or whatever. I'm still left with Chinese which I will finish tomorrow. At this time of the day, I'm not exactly at my best productivity wise.

Messenger is screwed tonight(this morning). I couldn't log in, and I've been trying since around 9pm. Sigh, Microsoft. Sigh, MSN.

Alright so anyway!

FINAL FANTASY CRISIS CORE :D :D
I am SOOOO totally into the Final Fantasy mood right now. If you haven't heard of Final Fantasy, you must be Mas Selamat. (hurhurhur) That's Zack Fair and his so-super-hot-and-pretty-she-cannot-exist-in-real-life-wait-she-doesnt-exist sweetheart Aerith.

Brand new Final Fantasy is out, and so far I've been playing and it is SOOO super awesome. It blows me away. It captivates me. It's gorgeous.

I'm addicted.

Maybe not addicted, but I think about playing it quite a lot. Although I actually haven't played it the last two days, because I WAS FOCUSING ON COMPLETING MY E-LEARNING! Three cheers for me! How's that. I even pangseh-ed my class for two of their interclass games to stay home and finish my E-learning on Thursday. (They lost them both.)

Back to Final Fantasy!

I hope you know what's an RPG. It's called a role-playing game. It lets us geeks who only play games get to keep cool hair like Zack(right), get a hot girl like Aerith, and stuff.

And Final Fantasy is usually more of a story than a game. That's what most reviews say online anyway. In my opinion? It's the ultimate romance/action/thriller story for the geeky. That's for me. Ho.

I was spam-listening to the Crisis Core soundtrack for the whole of Thursday while E-learning. There are like 50+ tracks, and I think the playlist repeated almost ten times. Somehow, when I listen to the Final Fantasy soundtracks, I get this nice feeling. It's like chocolate. It's very nice. Someone tell me why!

WHILE WORKING HARD FOR E-LEARNING...

Attack of the bugs.

Does this fella look like some mean bug? The stuff at his tail looks rather scary. I used the curtains to squash him. (He was running along my windowsill) Maybe he's a she! I didn't check.

But I found this guy rather late in the night. All throughout the day, I had one million flies flying through my window and buzzing around for no apparent reason at all (I bathed). And they're all types of flies. I get houseflies, small little black flies that hover, small little brown flies that fly like The Monkey God, and funny green-coloured flies.

The assault of the flies continued throughout the day, and carried over to yesterday and today. In fact, believe you me, I am still getting harassed now. Because my window is facing the back alley and few other lights are on out there at a time like this, all the flies come and fly around my fuzzy warm light. (I already bathed damn you)

Okay actually I have nothing much else to say about E-learning. It's already quite a lot for a day that I stay at home and just whack work and work.

And someone was pretty pissed off with me today. Please don't be.

You know, if God doesn't just give me what I want, I don't always turn my back on him for it. I'm not a fighter when it comes down to this. It's up to you.

(& I won't vilify myself for your sake. This is the way I read you. You might think different.)

Back to school.

And here ends e-Learning, and we go back to school.

I have so much absolutely random stuff to blog about now but I don't have the time. Check back soon! And I never imagined that I could have an eventful day trying to finish my homework.

I cannot finish it, even now. Which is why I have no time.
Thank you for checking, though. I'll be back with more when I've done up the enormous backlog of work.

Good night!

Alert: Boring post.

E-learning, again.

Which is the reason why I have so much time to blog. I've been blogging everyday for the past few days of E-learning, even though it's not really about interesting stuff.

Funorama this Saturday! And I cannot go, because it so happens to be my grandfather's one-year death anniversary and I have to be present at some Taoist ritual. Fate hates me.

I have work for nine subjects for E-learning and as of now, I have completed three, which are probably the easiest ones of the whole lot. That leaves me with the rest for tomorrow, as well as me having to study for Maths TA on Monday and Maths CCT two Mondays away.

Sorry about the boring post. Life becomes drab and dull just about this period. I will brighten up my life when it feels like it's turning brighter. Hurhur. Goodnight.

I was supposed to be quite free today to start doing my work.

But alas, it was not to be so.

I woke up at around 730 to go to school for inter-class soccer tournament today, for which 4F's match was supposed to be held at 1030 if I'm not wrong.

It wasn't held at 1030 though; it was held at about 1130. Slightly earlier than 1130. Which meant the sun was already very high up in the sky. Which in turn meant that the weather was sweltering. It wasn't being very friendly. And the worst part is, I'm the goalie. So if no balls come to me, I stand around and get baked. You don't really notice it very much if you're running around kicking people's balls (I meant the ball). So because I was baked today, I am a nice shade of blush.

So, after the match (we won 1-0), I headed home because I was feeling hungry and thirsty and dirty and sleepy and weary and lazy. So I got home at almost 1. Had a nice bath, and then booted up the computer in an attempt to check the e-learning work.

Best part is, I took down all the work. But I still haven't started on anything.

Then I was supposed to go down to Singapore Basketball Centre at 430pm to watch the RGS-Nanyang game with Ryan and Ben. I left my home at 405pm, intending to take a nice, leisurely stroll down to SBC. I wasn't even sure of exactly how long I would take to get there if I walked, but I asked my brother and he told me 15 minutes on foot.

What a mistake. Reasons?

First, the weather still didn't let up on me. I got even redder.

Second, construction was going on all over Paya Lebar MRT. I had to make multiple detours.

Third, the whole walk of 3.2 kilometres took me 25 minutes. I arrived in time to watch the first quarter end.

But either way the match did not disappoint. Nanyang only managed to win in double overtime! How exciting. Do not feel like elaborating though, will be long and draggy.

Oh and I got home at around 7. Because of the double overtime.

Then I figured I had to start looking for my keys which I couldn't find this morning when heading off to school. I spent a good hour attempting to sweep my house but to no avail. And then my mom goes and finds it in the bag I brought out yesterday, which is coincidentally, the very first place that I looked.

Feel like a loser.
Before I know it, I'm here blogging.

So where did all my time go? I really thought I wasn't all that busy today.

I shall just call it a new experience.

YEAH BUCKLEY HAS OWNED AND WE TOTALLY OWNED TRACK AND FIELD TODAY, WE PWNZORS.

www.blogbuckley.blogspot.com for more details!

And cool part is after so much of the cheering and making noise (of course, for sec fours this refers to exco members only) and being burnt in the sun, we got a free meal courtesy of Ms Cho. Wooo. Pastamania ftw thanks ma'am!

Soon after, I headed down to Kallang Netball Center where Amanda told me she was playing PLMGS today. And to tell you the truth, I have never been to the netball center, I have not looked it up, and I have only seen the place when my dad drives past. And I didn't even know if it would be the right one.

So today, I headed home, changed and bathed and took the bus down to Old Airport Road. Then I walked in the general direction I thought the netball place was. And it really was! I am so awesome, I must say. And it was right next to the tennis center and squash center. I walked into the netball center and ALL I see are schoolgirls in netball jerseys, and I frantically look around for another guy, but to no avail. AH.

I had to go calm myself down and bring my state of mind back into it's original balance of Yin and Yang (and not all Yang, haha!). So I retreated to the squash center and found a MEN's toilet. HA. And Raffles Squash was at the squash center too! Was surprised. I saw Michael, Jonathan and Timothy and whatshisname. And I saw Li Fang! Have not seen her since, sometime last year, at 6/1 '04 class gathering, I think.

And so I headed back to watch the match, right after it started. I think I sort of understand the technicalities of the game already. A little. Was still the only guy there, except for this middle-aged guy who I think was one of the player's dads. But Nan Hua won, yay for Amanda!

Then I met Chowler during halftime. And he knows Teo Hong and Sng Yi. Woah. Coooool. Such a small world. Then we chatted quite a little.

Oh then I left after the match ended. HAHA. I really left almost immediately after it ended! After saying goodbye.

Oh and the place is super near my house. Now I have a 15-minute bus ride whenever I need to go to the Indoor Stadium or anywhere around there.

Okay so I went home and I FILED MY BIO FILE. Come on three cheers for me!

My weekends are routine even on a non-routine week.

If you know me well, you would know that I cannot leave my house to go hang out and catch cool friends to go watch cool movies and shop for cool stuff on Sundays, because every Sunday is routinely Family Day.

If you know me even best, you would also know that every Saturday of mine is usually spent at my Grandma's, except for special occasions like birthdays or whatnot.

So even though I have no school next week, which is absolutely non-routine, my weekend (or rather my Saturday, because today is Sunday and it isn't over yet) was so routine that it nearly killed me. And here's the special thing-a routine Saturday/Sunday for me has no studying! Alright.

Then again, if I were to say that, it would mean I haven't had routine weekends for a long long time. So be happy for me!

A'ight, I watched the Denver-New Jersey match yesterday because my cousin has cable TV. And it was the first time i got bored of alley-oops because both sides just did them over and over. Law of diminishing return. Then there was the Taiwanese elections shown on TV live as well. And then my aunties and uncles were like, both the winning party and the losing party cries. Such losers. Haha!

And today where I went for lunch there was this Indian foodstall. I forgot it's name, but it had a very cool tagline. It went like, "xyz abc foodstall: Just Do Eat". So cool.

DO-RAY-ME-BEER by Homer Simpson

You HAVE to sing this to get the full effect.

Super free Friday.

Today, i felt great.

As in, when compared to yesterday. Amusingly, yesterday i went to bed only at around midnight, with a 38 degree fever and a headache. This morning, I woke up with no fever, no headache, and feeling totally superb and normal. Okay, normal. AND i woke up at 8 A.M on a public holiday after just recovering from a fever. How cool is that.

Crisis Core English releases in four days!

And for the next six days i have no actual school. So awesome. I wonder if I've already talked about this in the previous post. But no matter. I'm going to start studying for the Math Topical Assignment next Monday. May the Force be with me. (I'm playing Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy on my computer now, and it's a 2003 game. Superb computer.)

Darth Vader has a sense of humour.

Awesome. Seriously, especially if you've watched Star Wars.

Sick in my head. No, really.

I am sick.

Which is the ENTIRE reason why I'm not going for Community Day today. I’m not ponning, mind you people, but I am really sick.

Funny though that I woke up as usual today at 0530 in the morning, showered, did my stuff as usual, and then went to get breakfast. Then I felt a headache, so I took my thermometer and measured my temperature. It turned out to be about 38 degrees.

If you read all that, you must love me and my blog so much :D

But why sick in he head? Kind of, because it is my forehead that is hot. Wahaha. Not funny. I was doing pull-ups yesterday and then when I grit my teeth, there was this sudden sharp pain in my ear. I thought my eardrum burst or something.

So I just went to sleep and then woke up the next morning, and every time I grit my teeth, it (my ear and head) would hurt like someone just took a medicine ball and threw it at your face, then stepped on your fingers and threw you down from the ninth storey while you were covered in mosquito netting.

Okay, not ninth, fifth.

So I thought it was an ear infection when I had a fever this morning. Headed over to the doctor’s opposite, just to be safe. Then she told me it’s some temporal lock joint or something yadayada blahblah that just screwed up so it’s very painful, only when you grit. Ahhh okay. Anyway the pain miraculously disappeared around the time I went to see the doctor. Funny, eh. Was still feverish though.

But but but a fever is not going to kill a super incredible iron man like me! I still watched four hours of TV after I got back from the doc’s. And I finished the My Girl series. Hurray.

The only thing that makes the next seven school-less days seem more and more ominous is the already piled-high stack of work, and more to come. Wish me a lot (a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot a lot) of luck.

Thanks. "Good luck will come your way!" :D

Just a filler.

Yeah, just a filler. I need to fill up the big big bigggg blank space in my blog because it only has two posts now. So this is, as i said, just a filler.

Okay anyway, term is getting hectic already. The tests are coming, the work is piling, and it's week one. But hey, you wouldn't be interested, would you?

I am not. And I am pissed. Because I know I have all this work, but we're going to have somewhat of a week-long holiday for elearning/ilearning/saikang, and I can't do fun stuff. So it feels like, how do you put it, being given a useless gift. Okay it's not a gift. And it feels like, urgh. Yeah, just urgh.

And, Raffles Players practices are stepping up now that it's five weeks from production. Okay, but today's was a lot more productive than the previous few, and I appreciate that, absolutely. No offence to any of you who might be reading this, but i find absolutely no point in all your warmups and stretching for hours before rehearsals. I just had to say that out, so don't piss on me or what. I'll still do what I'm told to, though.

And you, please get out of my head. It's distracting, tiring, and it irritates me. Especially when i have all this stupid work to do that i cannot neglect. Pretty pretty please?

More reason to cook up about why i'm back

After setting up this silly blog yesterday, out of a random boredom attack, i went to read my old posts from secondary two. And it was kind of, "Haha." As in, the kind of "Haha" when you laugh in your head alone and it doesn't come out because it's not funny enough for it to come out verbally.

So, what does this have to do with why I'm back? For one, after reading all my old posts, it was incredibly nostalgic. And I remember that secondary two was one of the best years of my life (the later half especially). So was secondary three(even better than secondary two) but what now? It's gone, like, phew!, and then I have no record of it, no journal of the stupidest and coolest stuff that I might have done/wanted to do.

Damn.

See why it's cool to have a blog now? Of course, after a while I will get lazy to update. But at least I'll have a section of my extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely precious secondary four life down on paper(figure of speech), and i can reread it when I'm doing NS or when I takeover Microsoft as the CEO and say, wow, I was so cool back then. :D

Houyes.

Alright anyway the March holidays were not a blast. I hit Bangkok for four days with my family, and it was, unique, at least. I didn't really spend much, only around seventy bucks for a coupla' random barang-barang. The weather was soooo hot and humid it makes you feel like doing absolutely nothing and hang around like the ang mohs who in the night just sit around at the bars and drink beer in the ridiculously hot and humid weather with other fat angmoh friends and Thai girls. By the way, many many people go to Bangkok to really bang cock, from what I see around my hotel. My personal observation.

Will cut the long story short.

And so, I was back on Friday night. And my Saturday was spent lazing around, doing my philosophy presentation at the last minute(it's due Monday) and taking care of my brother, who was sick from (suspected) stomach flu.

Sunday was just a little short of a blazt. It was fun, though. Brandon had a hotel room at Marina Mandarin and so i went over to play Burnout Revenge with him and own his wheels, his ass, and his balls all in one race. Oh and he had a pass to Meritus Club, it is the cool. Free tidbits throughout the day! I spam Perrier Sparkling Water and realise it really sucks and makes you fart a lot. A lot a lot.

Okay that's enough for today. School's a' coming in nine hours. Egad!

Why the hell am i back?

This is a new blog.

I have no idea why i even created this. I predict it's going to be dead in a month, or somewhere around the time where the work and tests start heating up.

Sean keeps pressuring me!

Or maybe cause I'm trying to make my life exciting by making it look exciting on a blog.

Oh whatever. Anyway, I doubt I'm going to have a tagboard because it would just make miserable me more miserable having no one poopin on your tagboard. Haha! So just comment if you want. If you somehow find this entry. No one should, in any case, because the blog is in one dusty 'ole corner of the Internet.

Will find a skin, link some fellas, and blah blah in due time.

(OH DAMN I'M BLOGGING LIKE ZEB WHO TALKS ABOUT ALL THE BORING STUFF. I'M BORED MYSELF READING MY OWN BLOG POST)
